Accoustiblok Wall Soundproofing
Superior Float Tanks is the dealer distributor for Accoustiblok soundproofing for the float tanks industry. You would use Accoustiblok inside of the walls enclosing your float room and/or filtration closet to keep sound from entering and exiting the float space. It can also be added to the ceiling as needed.
A typical float room that is 13’x13’ with a 10` ceiling height would require 4 rolls of Accoustiblok. With tape, sealant, and screws the material cost is about $2000 to protect the walls.
Utilite Wall Paneling
Utilite is a PVC wall covering that is inexpensive and well suited for float room wall finishes. It comes only in white and can be installed quickly and easily with its tongue and groove connections. The material is waterproof and comes in either 16”or 24” panels in lengths starting at 8’ all the way to 20’.
The same 13’x13’ float room would use 28 pieces of 24”x120” panels. With screws, trims, and corners the material cost is about $1200.
